It was Doug Meredith's car that he was working on as a project, which he bought from a guy in CA. I was looking for a car I could use as a daily driver that had a lower value than my RUF and also a slightly larger rear seat. Looked at BMW M3s, M6s, and a bunch of other stuff but wasn't really excited about any of them. I always wanted a 928 but my wife doesn't like the glass rear hatchback look - when I found this convertible it was perfect for what I was looking for. Doug had put on Jacquemond front and rear bumpers and had it repainted in the original black. It's currently at 928 Motorsports where I'm having Carl Fausett supercharge it and do a bunch of other updates (GTS brake upgrade, new aluminum radiators and tank, timing belt & water pump, exhaust, etc). Should be a lot of fun when it's finished.

58, Owner of a Sales Rep Agency in the Pleasure Marine Industry. I've craved owning a Porsche 911 for 50 years, and had the pleasure of actually owning one for 20 years. I love reading a DIY posting on Rennlist or Pelican, and then pushing myself to the limits of my ability. I finished my first hot rod at 17 and have done a few cars and boats since. I'm considering cutting out the ceiling in my garage and adding a lift. That would allow me to take it up a notch.
I am married, and my wife drives a 997.2, and I have one son who is a cadet at the Citadel.

54, Aerospace Engineering / Flight Test, 1 ex, 1 GF, 2 adopted daughters/ know-it-all-tweenagers going on 25. I was 22 when I bought my first Porsche, 924 in Germany. I was hooked, driving the autobahns at 145mph ALL DAY LONG! After I returned home, I bought my 924T, turned it into a GTS. Raced POC at Riverside and I was hooked on long track. Now my Boxster is transforming in stages to GT2, + 997tt power is in the works. Life is too short to stay in second gear!!! Chuss

43 British Expat in Dubai, Consultant Project Manager in construction.
at around 25 I was comparing either a Porsche or a Ferrari to buy when I could afford it. A good friend and fellow petrol head said, "People buy Ferrari's, People DRIVE Porsche's", wanted a 911 ever since.
First one arrived 2 months ago, '10 GT Silver C4S Cab, well worth the wait!
