How about why didn't they hook up the silver thumb rests on the steering wheel to the horn so I can more easily honk at ricers and idiots?

I shut off the PSM and went sideways in a wet, empty parking lot the other day just because, well, I could.

Robert, I think you have touched upon a great subject. How about we comment about what is right with our cars. How is the steering? How is the acceleration compared to other cars we have had. Does the sound of the engine bring joy to your ears? Let's discuss new topics such as how user friendly is the Nav system? Does the exhaust system have the roar and heart of a lion. Does the PASM work as described? There are so many other topics that can help those on this forum. Has anyone had the new 997 on a track yet? I think one thing we should do is start to build a color combo thread so others can see the different exterior and interior shades to select from. This way anyone can look up a particular color and get a feel of what they may want to order. Let's try to be positive not always negative. Yes we will have an occasional problem and it's healthy to inform, but to dwell too long will get boring and ill-productive. Porsche will take care of us, they always have. I wish everyone the best with their new racing machines. Take Care and Good luck.

Personally, I'm getting tired of topics such as "Pics of my new car" and a bunch of congrats following, or "My new car arrived" or my new car on the boat, or "side door of my car adjusted" and so on...I understand your intent of sharing your joy...but these topics don't contribute rennlist.com in getting better. Maybe that's why I also go to european forums where I can share some more experience with 911 drivers and not just owners.
5 don't want to be mean with any member of the forum, I just express my opinion as a wish for Rennlist.com in getting better and richer in the info it could provide to any of us.

How about...

1. Whats the maximum weight/ounces can your 997 cup holders hold? *Lets have a contest!

2. Anyone trust valet guys to park their cars? *Unless they are CPA's (Certified Parking Attendants) LOL!!!

3. So far, How many HOT/Gorgeous/Beautiful women have complimented you on your Porsche? *Late night drives along Sunset Blvd. does not apply to this question...

Forgive me... I must be bored hehe... Just throwing out ideas here...

Stay cool...

Zacharie, which forum do you like best in Europe? Maybe you can take one of the threads from there in this forum and see how the people take it from there.

I'm new in the Porsche driver arena. Know the car from the beginning, but never had the chance to drive one. I can agree with the originator of this thread. I see a lot of negative talk, although, those are the most read once, isn't that interesting?

I don't want to be impolite and my intent isn't to make users of the rennlist forum to leave away. As PV asked me, Rennteam.com is a good European forum where there are many posts everyday and new topics developed on a daily basis. As an example, in the 996 forum, there are numerous threads about gumball 3000 [sort of canonball but going to Morocco] with good videos of GT3 chasing a lambo, and other entertainments...Technical aspects are also discussed in the 997 forum.
Please moderators, don't bash me for my response to PV. I've just wanted to explain my own point of view without showing any disdain for this US forum I also really enjoy.

Anybody in the States, besides me, use their left or right side parking lights when leaving their car on dark streets? Never saw a post of this subject.

Zach, don't feel sorry. We need to know what other info is out there. The fact that we are in this one, shows that we like this forum.
