Default Well I sold my M3 for a new Carrera S.

Hi All,
I finally am buying my first new Porsche! I just sold my 02 M3.
Sad to see it go, but I am ecstatic about the S.
The car is optioned as follows:
Altas Grey
Black interior
Adaptive sport seats
Nav
Bose
Heated Seats
Dimming mirrors
Changer
Rear Wiper
Sports Chrono.
I'll post pictures in about a week when I take delivery.

I have had two M3's both great cars but after my first Porsche I have never driven anything else. I am now on my 4th P-car a 997 S. You will love it! Congratulations.

Nice Car . . .

Great taste in exterior colour. .

I'd love to see some pics of the car in the sunlight.

I also went from a 3 series to a 997. I'm a step below you, however, having gone from a non-M to a non-S. Believe me, you made the right move. The Porsche is way better than the BMW. The smiles per mile are definitely worth the extra $. Atlas is an outstanding color. I get a lot of compliments on it. If only I could coordinate a thorough washing with a sunny day, I'd post some pics. Maybe in April.

My better half drives the 997, too. Well, in theory...half the time she drives the beater Benz, and I choose between the 997 and E46 M3. Not as easy a decision as you guys are making it out to be...the M3 is a great car.

Awesome! I have had 3 BMW's and one previous P-car 996, this 997 is truly a pleasure to drive and just look at!

Thanks everyone for all the compliments!
I will post some pictures in about 1 1/2 weeks. The roads are crappy here in Boston and it's snowing again.

Riotgear, it's been like that for most of the 24 years we've been married. I'm a real estate agent, and I generally need a sedan/wagon for everyday use, so Esther gets to drive the sports/sporty car to work. The only exception was when we had all three kids in car seats. She drove a minivan and I drove the Volvo 740 turbo wagon. I occaisonally snag the C2 from her if I don't have clients and have to run errands. I usually have to start convincing her about 2 days before I want to use it. It's easier negotiating real estate deals.

I am in real estate as well/...I always had to have a 4 door since I was 18 and I finally got to a point a few years ago where I could have my sports car. Now I have 35 people working for me and can drive what I want!!!

Quick Reply: Well I sold my M3 for a new Carrera S.
