I also sold my 2002 M3 and have been driving my 997S for 4 months now and love it. The M3 is a great car and no one can take the unique feeling driving one for granted. Also value and quality for the price are excellent, especially if you need to haul around a family of 4. For me the 997S is sportier, more fun to drive, and sounds 100% better (M3 exhaust note was a bit on the raspy side). The bearing recall (long story) for the M3 just put a sour taste in my mouth and now I don't regret spending the extra $$ and going for the 997S. My dream was eventually to step into a 911 as I never forgot the nostalgic times owning a used 1973 911T many years ago. Believe me you will be all smiles real soon!! Good luck!

The exhaust note on the M3 is horrible...My brother has one and it sounds like a freaking tin can when behind it!
