Thumbs up The wait is almost over!!

The saga started in early October with a deposit placed for a 997S.
I was lucky enough to secure a changeable January production order that someone backed out of in November.
In Dec the estimated completion date was listed as 1/10 but come the 7th it got slipped (bummer) a week to 1/18.
This past week it has been interesting to watch the order progress along its path:
PLPROD (Vehicle is Planned for Production)
PRDBDY (Vehicle in Factory Body Shop)
PRDPNT (Vehicle in Factory Paint Shop)
to today
PRDLST (Factory Last Checkpoint)
Tomorrow it should show up as
CMPPRD (Vehicle Completed Production) and a vin
Then the next milestone to look forward to will be:
ONVESL date (On Vessel date) and the car will be on it's way to the Port of San Diego. Approx a 20(+-) day journey

The wait is almost over

The configuration is as follows:
997S Manual
Guards Red
Black Full Leather
Sport Chrono
Adaptive sport Seats / Heated
Bose & CD Changer
Self Dimming Mirrors
Navigation
Sport Shifter
Fire Extinguisher
GSM Phone Module

It's hard being a waiter

How where you able to track your order progress without constantly calling your dealer?

I have a great relationship with my dealer and it's sales people and I get emails or I just stop by and many times I will just look up the info myself, not a big deal since I know my way around their eDCS system.
Calling a dealer is a pain since most of the time they are away from their desk...
The max amount of time it takes to get the information is 2min or less..I will admit to being more proactive than most, it's interesting and fun.
The best salespeople are those who are true enthusiasts and share a love for the mark, at my dealership there are 2 out of 7, for the rest they are just wanting the next deal tis sad but thats auto sales, even Porsche

MJONES, I'm so excited for you my friend. I can't wait to see all the detail, especially the interior. You are very knowledgeable and I think you getting your car soon will shed a lot of light on many questions we still have. Are you going to detail it yourself as well as take the plastic and wrapper off? If so what are you going to use to polish it up? Take care, good luck, hope all goes well. PS my specs are very similar to yours. I went for the full leather also.

I intend to "unrap" the car. I'am not really fussy about waxes 3M products do the trick for me.

Which wheels did you go with?
Standard 'S" wheels Wish they were painted black but not for $1900

What dealer?
Rusnak Pasadena....Jack Weir and Thomas Foulk are the best

Have them powdercoated after you get the car, its a nice look, durable and very reasonable.
