DJ -

They are replacements for the stock pedals. There is a thread here ( https://rennlist.com/forums/showthre...ferrerid=29012 ) with a picture of them in a 996 - http://gallery.rennlist.com/albums/albuo28/IMG_0404.jpg . I didn't give much thought to it until seeing the picture and then going to look at the OEM pedals... which, once you look close, could be out of a KIA.. that was it for me! Only problem is they are crazy expensive compared to some of the pedals available here but I love the look..

I feel your pain (the wait) as I HAVE the car but the damn weather here won't cooperate! In the meantime (if you have your VIN#) you can join PCA (and find your local chapter), register and subscribe to Rennlist, get some books, download stuff, subscribe to Excellence, etc. etc. etc.... it helps.

Clear markers are the cheapest, easiest and best looking thing you can do to your newer Porsche. I don't know why everyone does not do it. My next door neighbor has a 996 TT identical to mine but without clear side markers. Really makes a big difference to me.
Looks great with grey, nice looking car!

I'm starting to feel a lot of pressure to install clear markers. The problem is doing it without my wife noticing. Otherwise, I'll hear "Why did you waste the time and money on those, it looked fine the way it was."

I agree with your wife. I'm glad you guys are turned on by clear markers but could someone please attempt to explain what it is about them that is so hot? To me it's like changing the color of the pockets in your pants.

Here ya go Stacey! Sorry about the quality (and how dirty the car is now), it's 5 degrees here and I just *may* have been in a hurry!!

That was warm compared to tonight's temp. Took the C2 out for a drive, and the thermometer said it was -4. To make matters worse, the forecast is for 6-12 inches tomorrow. Robert, can you pleeeease send some of your weather this way. Gary, the car looks great. My first ('85 944), second ('87 911 targa) and third ('86 911 cab) Porsches were all red. Wanted to keep it a bit low key this time, but maybe I'll go with red next time.

Gary,

Perfect! I just watched the weather forecast, and it looks like none of us with summer tires on our P-cars will be driving anytime soon.

I really prefer the amber over clear on a GR car and thats the way mine will stay once it arrives.

Thing is, i'm not sure I don't agree with you! The good part of it is I now have both and it is literally a 1 minute job to change them. For $35 it was worth it (to me) so I could compare for myself...

I think they look best with the light on (amber bulb) myself.

Gary,

Did you get clear or smoked markers...where did you buy them?

I think the smoked ones on ebay would look better on my black car...

I got clear and got them from Eric at bumperplugs.com. He has a few neat things there.. I think the clear with the amber bulb would look grat on your car Robert, but WTH, get BOTH and change them every once and a while!
