Default Discount to expect off MSRP on new 997?

Hi - I'm seriously considering a well-optioned 997. How much off MSRP can I expect? I'm in Texas, FWIW.

About 2 months ago I know someone that was ordering a 997S and was offered $4k off, not sure what the final agreement was.

Look towards the snowy climates for deals. Here in So Cal, there are more GT3s in dealer inventory than 997Ss, with most dealers taking orders for late spring delivery...so unless you have a special relationship with a dealer, it's MSRP around here.

They don't seem to want to budge on the GT3's either.

Got the dealer to through in the hard top for the S-Cab which is ~$2300. They only had one allocation for March build. You can negotiate with some dealers depending if you know them or not.

Is not the hardtop a delete option on the 997 cab as it was on the 996 where you could save $1,500 if you elected not to take it?
