In February 2001, Porsche opened a loading station in Kornwestheim. Since then, all vehicles produced in Zuffenhausen for key markets overseas and in Great Britain (Boxster and 911) have been transported by rail to Emden for shipping by sea.
The company that handles shipping and Port inspections is The Pasha Group

you are right, the data is old, and applies to boxsters mostly, however, it gives a good idea of time elasped between porsche's order process stages
everything is faster now, so subtract 3-4 days to a week from all the times.

Hey I have a Dce 20 build date. My dealer is telling me I should see my car 2nd or 3rd week of Jan. THis sounds very fast to me. DO you think that is realistic?

Assuming NY is the final port of destination, Emden to NY is 3537NM and car carriers and container vessels steam at about 20knots, therefore the sea passage will take 7.5days +/-. Therefore if you include the customs clearance and all that, it should take no longer than 10-12days.
