I got it! 997s White
Picked up last night......WOW!........more car than I thought it would be. After 2 Boxsters I thought it would not be as big a move up and that much nicer, but it is. I will put some miles on it this weekend. It showed up with 33 miles and now has 60.

I was driving my M5 in Laguna Niguel and saw a White turbo (it could have been a GT2) and it looked sooo good. (It also was so fast I didn't even consider keeping up). But that is when I decided to go for white. Plus, in the hot southern cal sun - it should not cook as bad as my sterling gray M5.

White is on my final shortlist, together with guards red and base black.
What I'd really like to see are some photos of white 997 with white wheels (perhaps with just the wheel rim in alloy like you get with 996 colour coded sportlines)
I love the look of white but somehow conventional alloys look a bit odd ?
(perhaps it's me whos a bot odd)

Like you I moved up from a Boxster S to a 997 S and I can honestly say it's the finest Porsche I've ever driven. My comment to my wife was 'I can't see how they can improve on this car." Best combination of power and balance I've ever expereinced. I'm in love is an understatement.

Put the CLear side markers and upgrade the wheels to 19". It'll look even better! I have the 997 Carrera Silver with the carrera S wheels, 295 width tires! Super Wide in the back. Youu can get the clear side markers at suncoast porche in the internet for around $30.00. Happy Speeding!

Oh, and drop that SUV ride height. (a distant echo from the 993 board...)
Looks startlingly similar to my white 993 with '02 5 spokes (which is a good thing!).
Great car, great color. Ditto on the side markers (cleans up the whole front).
