Default Possible 997 race series

Watched a new 997 purchased from local dealer and then torn apart a few hours later.

Word has it that a new series featuring the 997's will be racing next year.
The 997S is not in the rules, so limited to straight 997. Must be nice to walk in the dealer, buy that car and start tearing it apart before the engine has cooled.

Keep you posted if I hear of anything that can be put out to public.

The standard 997 (non-"s") is classed in the Grand-Am Cup series for next season already. There will likely be several at the opening round in Daytona in February with more showing up throughout the year. And I suspect a majority of the teams running Porsches will switch over by 2006 as all the kinks are worked out and the 997 gets sorted to the point its faster than the 996's being raced now.
