iPod installation in a 997

Has anyone had experience installing an iPod in either the standard or upgraded radio of the 997? It would seem a 20Gb or 40Gb hardrive storage device would have certain great advantages over a 6 CD magazine in music storage/playback in the vehicle.

The only solution for using the iPod is the FM transmiter route ala iTrip since as far as I know there is no Aux in on the Harmon/Becker head unit.
