Default PASM, Sport, stock????

Can't quite understand the relative stiffness.

OK. Lets say I want the C2S. I get the PASM. At standard setting, is the suspension simillar to the stock C2, or is it simillar to the non-PASM sport suspension? At the sport setting on the PASM on a C2S, is it simillar to the non-PASM sport suspension or is it stiffer?

Several auto mags have said that PASM in normal mode is softer than a stock 996, and in sport mode is stiffer than a 996 with sport suspension. One said normal was too soft for them and sport too stiff--and suggested Porsche add a setting in between.

In the 997 section on renntech, they have a 997 tech spec file, which shows the various suspension mappings.

It is speed dependant as well and there are five different software modules which are superimposed over Normal and Sport mode for PSAM.

In the sports program, higher damping forces appear to be obtainable over the Sport Suspension. OTOH, Porsche markets the sports suspension for track rats for additional performance, and Porsche has published faster 'ring times with the Sports. Could this just be due to the stiffer sways and mechanical limited slip diff?

edit: oh, and stiffer springs
