Default Which Spark Plugs?

I purchased the spark plug kit from LN engineering for my 2006 Carrera 4. The Kit came with Beru coil packs and 6 NGK spark plugs.

The kit came with NGK spark plugs - BKR6EKUB 7969. The Bosch spark plugs that I took off had 4 electrodes while these only have 2 - so it felt a bit of a downgrade. Are these NGK's the best plugs that I should be putting in - or are there different/better Bosch ones that I should put in now that everything is open?

Had the opposite dilemma myself when I changed mine out last August. Came to this forum and seems the general consensus is OEM. Previous owner had NGK's, but I swapped out with OEM Bosch. Can't tell the difference. I've got an 06 C2

Thanks - guess I'll stay with the NGKs for now and replace with the Bosch next time.

Personally I wouldn’t sweat it coming from LN Eng., they know what they’re doing (although everyone makes mistakes).

I made a much bigger mistake the last time I replaced the spark plugs on my car, I got the plugs for an “S” instead of a GTS but since the GTS has the X51 Kit it requires a colder plug. I figured out my error and replaced with the correct plugs less than 1,000 miles later though. (they were NOT ordered through LN or I suspect they would have caught my error before they shipped them).

Nothing wrong with those plugs ... Personally I like the Bosch better.. both are decent oem plugs . Lots of bs marketing for spark plugs .. if I had those NGK plugs I would use them without hesitation.

Denso iridium. My kit’s 6-pack of NGKs is sitting in the drawer.

I've tried other plugs and went back to Bosch OEM as they seem to work best. I run NGKs in 928s and 944s, but not in the 997s. I've not tried those particular plugs though. If LN is sending them out, they're fine.

Multiple ground electrodes merely increase the service life of the spark plug; they offer no other advantages. The replacement interval is calculated so that none of the spark plugs that meet PORSCHE specifications reach their limits.
However, as with oil, you now have to watch out for counterfeits. Most quality manufacturers of spark plugs publish clear characteristics for identifying counterfeits, which you should check. At least, that is what I did for my NGK.
