Default Add Air Dash Light

Almost a year of ownership of my 997.2 and I got my first dash light. It’s the “add air” light. It’s saying that the front passenger is -4 psi. I topped it off and my gauge said it’s the same as the driver side pressure wise. I figured it needed some miles to recalibrate so I took it on a 6 mile drive and still the same. It did fluctuate on the drive from -4 to -2 and then back to -4.

Any thoughts? Does it have to be manually reset or maybe get a new tire pressure gauge? I can’t stand light codes on the dash. Need to get this sorted.

Check all your tire pressures and put them all at the recommended levels. TPMS should indicate the change once you go over 20 mph. I would trust a good tire pressure gauge over the TPMS system.

Possible the TPMS could be bad?

Default Try reset

Try resetting the tire type, wheel size and load settings. I had -4 on both rears but the pressures were reading correctly. This happened after a nearby lightning strike. I drove a couple of hundred miles and would not disappear. I reset the tpms settings and drove an it finally cleared. Otherwise it could be the battery in the TPMS init is going dead and you will to replace the TPMS.

It is by percentage. You have to get it to read 100 on all corners.

lol.

You might already know this but...

I have never had TPMS that work consistent, so I just have this in the trunk or frunk or all my cars:
Amazon Amazon

I had this one for the track because it used to be super cheap:

with a little protector:

Has the Jaco gauge been good? I’ll pick one up for my frunk kit.

I know that Project Farm (YouTube) rated the Jaco gauge as a top pick.
I've got one and it is easy to use and accurate.
