Default B16 height adjustment How To?

Nowhere on the Internet does Bilstein tell you how to adjust these things. I assume I turn the black rings (Insert direction here) and compressing the spring while the suspension is unloaded lowers the car?

Fresh install I am at 26.5" front and 27" rear... Floor to mid fender. I think that is roughly .5 inch drop. I may leave it there for now.

Also, both my REAR shocks have one black ring and I can't seem to turn it. I looked back through my pictures and right out of the box the rears only have one black ring. I googled a bit and I can find B16 rear shocks with both one and two black adjustment rings

There is an install video by FCP Euro on YouTube that shows the rears with only one ring.

To adjust the height lower on a given corner, you want to turn the ring(s) from right to left (or, counter-clockwise looking up from underneath). Opposite to raise. Essentially, you're adjusting the height of the spring "perch" - the position on the "sprung" side of the chassis where the spring rests. On the sprung side, lower perch = lower car (opposite on the unsprung side - higher perch = lower car).

The single black ring in the rear has an Allen-head set screw in one of the holes around the ring's circumference. After loosening the set screw, the ring should turn without much difficulty. On the fronts, the two rings are tightened/jammed against each other to lock them into the desired height.

Thanks a ton!!!! The pics online for the B16 set show two rings on the rear struts so I was super confused.

Sure enough the Allen head was on the BACK side facing the car so i couldn't see it.

You're welcome. On mine, I used a silver paint pen to mark the rings at the location of the set screws. Makes it easier to find them, and easier to count rotations of the ring.

I set the rears, they stayed at roughly 26.75" measuring the ground to mid-fender.
I set the fronts at 26.25" measuring the ground to mid-fender.

I took a 15 minute drive and came back, both fronts dropped to 25.75" same fender measurement point (.5" from set height).
So, I put the fronts back up, took the wheels off and the lock rings haven't moved (counted the threads below the rings) I raised it up and put both fronts back at 26.25"

I took another shorter drive down to the end of the street and back. Repeated measurement, front's dropped to 26" (.25" from set spot)

I may just leave the fronts at 26" but wondering why it might drop after driving both times.
Seems like something might be loose, any pointers from someone who has set/adjusted B16s?

Springs sack over their entire life, but sack most quickly when new.
