Nice that your dealer took your order....however as of this date dealers only have preliminary order guides.and someone is pulling your chain.
Have your contact check the just released Product info guide...
Black gauges is XFC not 022
Sport shifter not a listed option
Thicker Steering wheel not a listed option

Hmmm. The option codes used were based on the Euro list, and according to the salesman (whom I know well), the Porsche system accepted the order. Thanks for the heads-up, though. We'll see what happens.

If the EDCS order was accepted it is assigned an order number (also called the reference number). He should be be able to fax you that number with the code
ACKNWL (Order acknowledged by PCNA)
next is
ACPORD (Order accepted by PCNA)

No number = no order
Never trust a salesman
Good luck!!!

My understanding is that there is still time to change your order and that what you have done is lock up the September build allocation. By the end of July or early August the prices and option codes will be solidified and you will be able firm up your order.

I did the same thing this week and supposedly my car will be built in August.

Default Speed Yellow

Got my order in today for 997S. Talking colours. My dealer thinks Guards Red will make a comeback. I like Speed Yellow - as does he - but says resale not good.

Anyone have experiences?

I have always liked Speed Yellow but it takes a lot of guts to go for it. I ordered mine in Arctic Silver.

Spizz, I have heard the same thing about speed yellow and resale value. Perhaps it attracts too much attention?

I haven't seen many Dark Teal Metallic around either...

I've been considering Carmon Red Metallic or Atlas Grey

GT is a bit darker, and (was) exclusive to the CGT, until it was placed onto the 550 boxster, and the 40th 911.

now it seems, it is an option for all 997s, as well as the upcoming (limited edition) 996 Turbo S coupe/cab
