CAN errors are literaly software glitches that are not really PDK errors. They will not affect anything in 99.99% of time. You don't need calibration, and you don't want calibration if car drives fine. DO NOT take PDK calibration lightly. Garage without experience can brick TCU, or not be able to complete calibration and strandle the car for months... You might create $$$$ worth of problems for yourself without any reason. Let us know if need a recommendation of garage that is experienced in PDK things.
thanks appreciate the feedback on this. I am going to pick up a Foxwell NT530 and see if I can clear these codes myself
I'm seeing nothing in this thread that points to the PDK. From what I am reading, you had a CANBus error, with no evidence that points to any specific thing. Drive the car and enjoy. If something comes up with a specific code pointing to a specific item, let us know.
Just had some coding done to enable AUX for my PCM3.0 and the specialist mentioned that i had some other errors come up with PIWIS ones to worry about where the below PDK errors, was told these would not clear
U0155 CAN timeout
U1046 CAN timeout
U0418 CAN fault
Car drives perfect and according to the history has had a PDK service late last year, specialist is saying they recommend them doing a PDK service and PDK calibration (at a cost of around £900) now will pay that if needed but would be good to get some feedback if anyone else has seen this.
My car is new to me this month a 2011 997.2 Carrera S, car has had a PPI done so surprised this did not come up then as well
