OEM Stone guard for 997.2 Carrera
Hi,
I have an artic silver 997.2 carrera and the stone guards are getting old. Since in my country (Brazil) this could be hard and expensive to find, I’m planning to bring from USA (will be there in Vegas on October).
what is a good website to purchase OEM parts in US with a good delivery?
Also, are these references that I have the correct ones for the parts I am looking for ?997 504 826 06

thank you

Order them from Guadin Porsche of Las Vegas and you can pick them up while you are in Vegas. They might have them in stock but call ahead to make sure. I live near by and was in there last week and picked up an expansion tank that they had in stock.

I had a heck of a time removing the OEM guards. Plastic razor blades and 3m adhesive remover will save you loads of time. I used a steamer to get the vinyl soft so that it could be scraped off then hit it with the razors and spray.
While unrequested advice is rarely well received, I would highly recommend Magnafins. I had nothing but a great experience with them and their magnetic replacements are terribly easy to deal with, look great and seem to last.

thank you for the feedbacks - it seems that magnetics are great option here. I won't risk taking it out on my own the original installed - I have a PPF specialist here that will do his best to remove. He also mentioned that heating is not a good option because the glue can mix to the vinyl - but I trust he will do his best to remove it.

Before buying the magnetics (my review post on that is here), I had ordered the 3M clear vinyl film and created a template from the OEMs on my car. After going through the hassle of removing the old ones, I realized that I would never want to go through that again so opted out of the film as a replacement. While I love OEM (the folks in Stuttgart know what they are doing), this one just wasn't worth the energy. Some folks say "no pain, no gain". I say "no pain, no pain".
