Default Best brake pads for the street

Iv had oems, hawk ceramic, now on brembo sports.... recently drove a 991 turbo s with pccbs... and that car stops! Very light easy to modulate... what brake pads with steel rotors, can give a similar feel and stopping power as these new pccbs... of course since it will primarily be used on the street, quiet operation and long service life are preferred

I never liked "ceramic" pads. Not enough bite for me.

OEM is good, just a lot of dust.

I would try Endless MX72/72+/87 once I am done with the stock pads on my car.

Also did not like the hawks.. the brembo pads are good, but when they get wet, the Braking drastically drops!!

None, and why PCCBs cost what they do.

I use Hawk Ceramics on all the fitments they make them fit and have no issues with their stopping power, but they're not like my PCCBs.

I like OEM/Porsche pads. It's interesting to try new things or if you use the car on the track, try something more oriented to that use case. Butt... here comes that scary big one... I think Porsche chose a formulation that provides the best balance of performance, noise, for a wide variety of use cases. I always consider using something else, but have never been disappointed with Porsche formulations.

What about a decent street pad with less dust?

Also running the Hawk ceramics on my 997. They work well, slightly less initial bite, 90% less dust.

Will be switching to the Brembo based ceramic pads on the Cayenne GTS in the near future.

Driving profile is: "Spirited" or "Enthusiastic"

Hawks are low-dust, low-noise, low-bite. They will stop the car if you stand on the brakes, but they objectively perform worse than stock. I still run them because of the low dust.

Has anyone had squealing with the hawk ceramics when they're very warm (hard braking)? I run them and really like how low dust they are.. but want to try something different. Maybe Ferrodo Ds2500 or EBC red

I had DS2500 on the bbk of my bmw. They dust a good amount.

EBC pads kind of suck. Stay away.

Hard to beat stock pads on the street. Only shortcoming is dust.

Endless MX72 is the best for aggressive street. Excellent heat range. Low dust and high friction.
