If you're outside of downtown, I'd recommend barnaba autosport in Batavia - not Midwest Perf expensive, and they'll send a flatbed for your ride to save you the ride out (but it's worth it, they have some of the most drool worthy cars in their showroom.... at the very least, have them do a diagnosis and get yourself an apples to apples comparison. Service Manager is Mark Greco.

This quote is barbaric, who pays $390 for an alignment. I paid $900 for coolant expansion tank at $250/hr labor in Orange county ca

Bought my 997.1 from Ron 8 years ago. They are a good non-dealer Porsche seller and have a great workshop. Other option is in Lake Bluff Axels Automotive, honest father and son shop and they don’t push for any unnecessary repairs.

What's interesting in LA is that one indy shop that has a few locations in the area now charges dealership fees. I usually do my oil changes I but was too busy, so I let them do it. >$400.
They suggested other services that were outrageously overpriced and even toped the prices mentioned above. That's how you get out of business.
