Hello,
Two weeks amont, i stopped my car in a very nice place and when i did it, coolant flowed up by the cap of the expension tank. 😔
I Said the coolant flowed by the expension tank because i opened the rear lid.
My car has been driven to a center porsche. Firstly they phoned me to precise the front radiator has a Little leak.
Yesterday i received their conclusion:
The flow of the coolant by the cap of the expension tank has been done by an over presssure in coolant system. This over pressure eppear because by a valve has been block by some air introducteur in the coolant system by the leak of the radiator.
I asked them if they were sure of them and in this case they can make the repair.✌️
I arrive at home and how i’m curious and interresting by mecanics i search in the PET the system coolant to look at the valve.
I only found an object that seems a valve in the next picture. This is the pièce that hasn’t a number near the piece 17.
There is a pressure relief valve right behind the coolant cap on top of the expansion tank. You can stand the metal clip up (like in the pic) to burp the system.
Also, when the system is hot, you'll see the valve raise.
Thanks for your answer,
i knowed this valve and this isn’t the one that my center porsche spoke. I will ask them more detals about this valve.
i will tell you more informations when i’ll take back my car.
Not positive with the Turbo, but don't think the system has add'l valves.
Most videos on Youtube discuss coolant pipe pinning, but have never seen anything about add'l valves.
Let's see what your shop says. Maybe they're just saying that an air pocket created a blockage that stopped coolant circulation and this an overheating scenario.
Hello,
i take back my car.
they changed a radiator that have à Little leak and they filled the circuit with a new coulant fluid. They verified all the fan and don’t find any problem in my car.
Last explain done by the in charge of the after sale service was an error because he thought the circuit was open and reffiled.
ok but i’m not complete feel better.
let’s see by the future Time.
