I just attempted to swap my base 997.1 seats with 981 cayman or boxer gts seats and Have a question on the wiring.

I have full powered 14 way seats and the new seat I have is 18 way full power. Passenger side is plug and play. Driver side oddly has two connectors in the wiring harness but the 991 seat has only one yellow airbag connector harness.

There are two male connectors form the driver side stock wiring harness that are 1. Yellow and 2. Black.

the new 981 seats only have one female connector.

so I need to swap over the black control module ?

Do both seats have memory or are both manual?
Or is one manual and the other has memory (in this case you will be out of luck)

They are both memory and both powered!

Control box is a bit different.

Are they 987 seats? In your video I thought I heard you say 981.

in any case, what makes you think the new seat has memory? Would be curious to see pics of the seat zoomed out.

I believe they’re 981 seats! I made another video of the connectors but it’s not very thorough looking back.
