I lived in NYC many years ago and one of my favorite roads was the original Interboro Pkwy going from Queens to Brooklyn. Last few years when I visit I normally drive the Cayenne. I don't think I could fathom driving a 911 up there now. Everyone is in a rush, cutting in and out, with no place to go. Back in the day I had zero issues driving a manual Supra with one hand on the shifter and the other hand on the horn...lol.... not now...

Vinyl Wrap, 1st attempt.
Hi Rennlisters, this is a subject close to many 997 owner's hearts. Behold, my first attempt at wrapping. As you all know, the soft touch paint on our hard plastic interior components, is by now looking tatty and scratched, especially if pets or small children have been involved.
My experiment was to wrap my ashtray lid in matte black vinyl, I can see my mistakes, but for the cost of a few cents of material, I can do it over and over 'till I'm happy with it. I have a whole spare console from a wreck to practise and perfect my chops.

Installed the Morimoto headlights and wondering if the gloss black trim ring film I had on my Xenons will work well with them.

Drove up Mt Baker after getting B16 coilovers installed (upgraded from Eibachs, kept DSC). Just love how this thing feels attacking corners, especially chicanes now!

Plugs & Coils. And yes, I removed the bumper and mufflers. Not too bad - gave me a chance to clean everything.. The heat shields are a bit fiddly. I can't imagine doing this job and NOT removing the mufflers! You'd need to be an octopus. I had to cut one of the clamps to the center muffler to get it off, but had bought spares. Car seems to run smoother with new plugs (OE Bosch). I used Rennline coils.
