Hi I need help. I have a 2012 targa 4s. Sometimes right when I come to a stop (1 time out of each 50) the is a terrible clanking in the front, think like what I would sound like if you ran of a metal plate and it bounced around. It only does it right as I come to a stop. I can’t repeat it to save my life. The car is new to me (150 miles I’ve driven it) it passed all ppi. One time it continued as I was rolling slowly with my foot on the brake.

If it clunked once, it would be the pads shifting in the calipers and would also do it once when you backed up and applied the brakes, but you're describing a different scenario.

Front lower control arms. Check bushings.
