Default Odd Speaker Noise

Had a three-day DE event this weekend in West Virginia, where two mornings were in the upper 20's when I got there. I clicked the fob and opened the door, and heard this very loud crackling, sizzling sound coming from inside. Lasted about 5 seconds. The radio **** was off (I never turn it on). Only thing happening was the interior light coming on. The second time it did it I confirmed it was the speakers by putting my ear to the one in the door. A very disturbing sound I had never heard before even though I have had some cold mornings at the start and end of the DE season. Of course, I never hear it at home since it is in a 55F garage in winter.

Anybody ever have this happen?

My subs pop once when I open the door and things energize, but I have a larger amp in the enclosure and Focal Utopia speakers.

I wouldn't worry about it, but I'd you want to troubleshoot, I'd say check the ground connection for the amp since it's coming from your door speakers and not the subs in your case.
