I am cross posting this here in case anyone has any experience with this noise. The car is a 997.2 Turbo with two piece rotors and a strange pulsing noise when running hawk pads…

This is what I would try before buying new rotors.
1. Gently remove the Pagid pad deposits on rotors with 240-400G sandpaper.
2. Wet the new pads and rub them together to take off any high spots.
3. Bed in the new pads.

Clean both sides of rotors with red can (not green can) brake cleaner and a roloc pad on a drill, rebed the brakes doing a proper bedding procedure and you should be all set.

Thanks guys! Essex replied in the original post in case anyone is interested in reading their reply. We’re going to try a few different things including cleaning the rotors and bedding the pads. I’ll keep everyone posted on how things go when we figure it out.
