Best of luck with the swap. As a former owner of an S2000 and DC5 RSX Type-S, if the 3.8 went in my car I think I would seriously consider a K24 as well.

This is awesome. Definitely will be following this thread. I have been following Nick's 997 K24 swap progress for a while and was waiting for his swap kit to come out.

His is pretty much out! We are using SOME of it and doing some of our own thing...but can't wait! Going to be slick setup with some magnesium and titanium bits thrown in for good measure

This is very interesting, but....

How do you get around emission checks? Are emissions required in your area? Other?

Day 2 update:

-Using the Link ECU as Nick did and maybe his harness to save some time...even though it is pricey.
-Sourcing the manual trans this weekend and ordering that...should be pulling the engine/tranny out in the coming week.
-Borg Warner Turbo sourced
-Custom turbo manifold getting made
-Bosch TB on order

Considering:
- Skunk2 connecting rods
- Wiseco pistons

If your going to do it, do it right! Even though Nick didn't touch the internals...I'm all about 1. different and 2. overbuilding for longevity.

I have vowed to keep my eye on these swaps because having had many Hondas/Acuras and having worked on cars that had highly modified K24 engines I know what they can do. I know purists won’t love them but they seem cool to me.

I'm not about "pure"...I'm about a reliable, fast, fun, enjoyable experience. And if that means putting a REAL engine in a 911?? I'm all about it! .

you’re not going to get much support here by calling 911 engines something other than a real engine

High revving high output engines are not going to be long haulers ?

I wonder why someone hasn't put a Subaru wrx motor in a 911 ? aren't they a flat engine ?
