997.2 side-view mirror problems

My 2012 997.2 has developed a problem where the side-view mirrors will tilt downwards when I shift into reverse (which is typical), but when I shift back into first gear, they don't return to their original positions and I have to manually adjust them to the correct positions for me. I just had my battery replaced at Manhattan Motorcars (the previous battery was almost 8 years old) and the tech said that all fault codes had been cleared. But I still had to manually adjust both side-view mirrors on my way out. So I don't know what to do/how to try and fix this. Any assistance would be appreciated!
(BTW, when I left MM, there was an amazing 911 Sport Classic in green with a duck tail and houndstooth seats. The service staff said it belonged to the owner of MM and that it cost $600K. Boy was it eye-catching.)

Put the mirror switch in the center position and they shouldn't tip down. The 997.2 must be different from the 997.1 as the .1 will only tip down the mirror the selector switch is pointed toward.
Might try reprogramming the tip down feature and storing it to the key you're using from the procedure in the manual.
