Default 997.2 scale model (group order)?

Seems there’s a lack of scale model 997.2 cars. Perhaps due to lower production volumes for the real 997.2 due to the financial crisis?

I think there are some options out there where you can request a specific model. My guess is if you get enough requesting or ordering… they’ll do a run.

Anyone find a good 997.2 scale model? Anyone else interested in trying to get one ordered? My personal preference is for a 997.2 C4S but I might be okay with something “close” as well…

All I can say is that it is going to have to be a very detailed scale model for anyone to
tell the difference between a dot 1 and a dot 2 .

I've been searching for 997.1 C2S diecasts for the last month in guards red, and have bought 3 of varying sizes and wheels. Haven't come across a .2 yet that I've noticed

Did you find anything in your search? I've been looking for a long time also and couldn't find any. I reached out to the maker of this one and their answer was "it's not available"...

Very tough to find a good selection of 1:18, but Minichamps do make quite a few 1:43 scale for themselves and Porsche. Check eBay searching for "1 43 997". I have 3 cabs; .1S, .24S and .2GTS to match my car. I actually have 2 of them, and plan to have it painted Guards Red to match my GTS. Finally, I found a 1:64 scale .2 GTS, which is very detailed for such scale from Kyosho.

Porsche, btw, have a large selection for sale at $100 each. Same cars can occasionally be found on ebay for between $20-$60.

For anyone with deep pockets, Amalgam will do a bespoke model of your car down to the very last detail. I've seen some of their stuff and quality is 2nd to none.

"Is the yellow car a 365?"
Nope, a couple of Maseratis - one is a Bora.

My car is a black C4S so the closest model I could find is a Norev C4S Targa in 1:18 scale, which is also black. On the smaller scale, I was able to find a C4 and C4S.

I had a much better luck finding the exact model of my daily, a BMW 318Ti in helrot red
