So I wonder will Morimoto be working on the cool front turn indicators for the 997.1? Hopefully as nice as the tails. Hopefully sooooon!

I think my Morimoto side markers are defective.
I tried to figure out how to install the resistors that came with them, but couldn't figure it out. Also, they claim the resistors are built in... aren't they???

The resistors are those golden things hanging in your pictures.

Yes, but I can't get the Morimoto connector to connect to the resistor connector.
It doesn't fit!

Thats weird. It looks right. Maybe its just a tight fit.

Agreed. This is the exact setup from the instructions and it fit on my car. That message will definitely go away once the resistor is hooked up. I installed the lights without it at first and got the same message. I have had them installed for about 1.5 months with no return of the message.

Sorry to see they (like other manufacturers) still have the resistors that dangle outside of the sidemarker housing that get extremely hot when the car is running.

Maybe with the side lights but not with the Headlights or Taillights....the quality is there....IMHO

Oh well, Morimoto advised me that the connector from the side blinker ( Euro/GCC spec cars don't have markers, those lights are purely blinkers only ) will fit into the socket of the resistor, so I went ahead and forced it in and the socket broke. So I just gave up and re-installed the marker back onto the car to fight another day... well. The metal plate broke off and fell into my bumper.

I got so pissed off, I yanked both of them off and threw them in the bin. Went to the dealer and bought brand new OEM clear blinkers. Screw it, I might as well cancel or black out the side blinkers as I don't see the need for them. I already have my blinkers in the fog light assembly.
