Default Rotor Replacement?

2007 C2S. As much as I enjoy and rely on Rennlist, I have never thought much of its Search capability. Can anyone point me to the specified width a rotor should have to need replacement? There must be something more precise than feeling the lip at the outer edge. I am at 50K miles.

The min spec is normally stamped on the side of the rotor hat. Although, at 50K and feeling a pronounced lip on the crossed drilled rotor, it is time.

I always search Google like this:

“Rennlist 997 Rotor Replacement”

As long as you search Rennlist and 997 into Google, it’s surprisingly good.

2mm below the new width so if a 38mm thick rotor, the minimum thickness stamp will show 36mm.

If your still within spec, they can be machined on a brake lathe.

At 50k miles on a rotor, I would just replace it while doing the brake job. No point to waste money to put it on a lathe only to have it warped next time you do series braking.
