what about the boxster coupe???

Asking about a Boxster in the Carrera forum? Maybe there's already stuff on the Boxster forum. Or PPBB. I've seen some disguised car spy photos and the Boxster hard-top might not be the same profile as the Boxster we know today. It appears to have a Carrera-esque out-line, but with an obvious length in the mid cabin for the mid-engine layout.
I guess we're not going to see it in '04 as an '05 model.

It's coming. If I was a betting man, I'd say fall of 05 as an 06 model.
Boxster Roadsters arrive in North America in early spring of 05.
And to keep this thread on topic, all of us Porsche sales guys get to drive the 997 in August. Porsche's training is awesome.

They were filming the Boxster 987 this past week in Marin and Sonoma counties this past week for Germany commercials. There was a roadster and a coupe being filmed. They had this under very tight wraps. they probable closed off a road to film them too. Was anybody up at Mt. Tam last week, or Bodega Bay?

Didn't get to stop and inspect it, but my impression was a simple roofline, nothing exceptional. I did comment to my passenger that the roofline made the coupe appear to be a larger vehicle than the cabriolet. I didn't get a clear view of the front facia as I went by.

i wonder how good it will look as a coupe. I know this kind of thinking is silly (just imagine a hardtop on a reg boxter) but i saw coupe version of the new miata and i was blown away but it's looks; it looked totally different

Here's an image that appears to have been enhanced using Adobe® Photoshop® software. It's making the rounds lately, though some are predicting a "flying buttress" scheme for the rear pillars like the old Dino.

I still don't think PAG will allow the Boxster to compete with the 997 on the power front. But I DO love the idea of a lightweight version for club sports! 230 - 270 hp is plenty in a lightweight chassis...eh?
