I have a (new-to me) 997.2 C2S that I recently bought from a member here. I took the car out a few minutes ago, and within a few blocks of my house I started getting a high-pitched squeal that seemed to come from the right front corner that continued until I stopped, when it went away. In driving it back home I noticed that it went away around 20-25 mph. At home I looked and didn't see anything touching the rotors. I'm thinking maybe a wheel bearing that's about to go?
Sticking brake caliper or pads installed without the anti-squeal dampeners during the last brake job. Brake pads always touch the rotor, just without a lot of force until you press on the pedal. If it's brake related. pressing on them really hard should make the noise go away - it's light braking when they'll be noisiest.
Thanks Petza! The noise started while driving (and not pressing the brake pedal), so I wonder if the pad was just sticking. I'll try to take it out later and if it occurs again I'll try to brake hard and see if that sorts the issue.

If you have one of those IR Temp guns, take it with you and shoot the rotors. See if the noisy one is hotter than the one on the opposite side. Fronts and backs won't be the same temps as each other but both fronts should be close and both rears should be close.
