Two very different business models

No good reason to promote they are now controlled by one group

Prices and services very different and likely no good reason to blend them

More likely they will keep the two businesses separate

good cheap performance tire? General G-Max R’s I had them on my c-class. Great, cheaper, semi sticky tires for the cash… General is owned my continental and the tires are very similar

You will get a zillion answers from folks here, but since many who track have different goals or situations just contact Luke Pavlik at Tire Rack ( 1-800-428-8355, ext #4362 ). I have known Luke for over 25 years and he is a TrackRat himself ( done One Lap and more for instance ) and many racers, autocrossers, etc. rely on him. He can listen to what you want and tell you what best meets your needs because unlike many in the Tire Business he actually does run and test with the rest of us Asphalt Assault Aces.

I could give you 3-4 solid choices , but he can give you one much more based on your specific needs.

^I use Michelins on my current 997 but few 997's ago I had set of Kumho's. They were great tires and from what I remember super inexpensive.
