Cool More 997 pictures from RennTeam

I don't know, it looks a little bloated. Maybe the headlights should be bigger??

Great shots! Wonder where the window switches went since nothing's on the fugly center console. Stitching looks nice on seats, but appears leather on driver's seat already crinkled and the car is new.

And who is going to enjoy cleaning those butt-ugly 19" wheels?

What an aftermarket-maker's dream: new wheels, new steering wheel, added switches, etc.

Not bad overall exterior - but glad I opted for the '04 C4S Cab.

Those wheels are truly ugly: too sci-fi and too many indentations in the center!

I guess that answers the question of whether or not they are going to offer Guards Red.(not listed on preliminary order form).

Can anyone tell if that is the S model?

Yes, its an S model (dual-quad pipes, PCCB brake option, and 19" Carrera S wheels") and with the -10mm PASM suspension option instead of the -20mm sport suspention option given that high ride height.

If they widen those spokes on the wheels and the center a bit more, they would look like those plastic wheel covers that cars with iron wheels have... very sporty hope they don't make it into the 2nd year of production along with that silly roundish sport stering wheel it has standard.

How can you tell it has the -10mm option instead of the lower one?

Because of the ride height - space between the tires and the body. Its a Row and it even sits much higher than the 996 average drop with RoW M030 sport suspesions which lowers by -20mm front/-10mm rear. If the -20mm sport drop -20mm all around, then it should lok at least as low as the RoWM030 996's, and it looks just barely lower than the standard 996 suspension, so its probably just the -10mm PASM suspension.

Thanks for the info.

BTW, any idea how much the sports package runs?

Still waiting for someone to take a standing straight on rear-end shot of the 997 in order to check on the "coke bottle" curves.

The -20mm sport suspension with rear LSD will be a no cost option on the 997S, you can choose either the PASM or -20mm. However, the -20mm sport suspension is still not offered yet in the preliminary order guides. The sport crono package (the silly looking crono in the middle of the dash) is around 700-800 euros if I remember correctly.

I love the huge brakes! Not sure about yellow color calipers though. I definitely do NOT like those wheels.

I love the headlights. Love them. Yeah, I wish this car was a bit wider in the rear. I bet they're saving that for the 997 C4S/turbo body.

There's numerous other pics on the Web with every angle. The "S" has quite the hips. The normal Carrera is much the same as the 996 with some curve, but nothing voluptuous.

That red isn't quite right.

Good pick-up on the switches -- they're on the doors now.

Maybe contrast read on the stitching?

The Carrera option wheels look great (like a Carrera GT) but the stock Carrera S wheels are just inexplicably peculair. Maybe they just had to have a wheel that could not be mistaken for any previous car (in the history of the automobile...)
