997.2 GT3 bumper conversion
This is my first post on here so I’m not sure if it’s in the right area, however I thought I’d share my recent install of a NR auto gt3 bumper for a 997.2. I know when I was researching bumper conversions there weren’t many options and I haven’t seen any real reviews of a NR auto install, so here you go. The bumper was very high quality when I received it and I was pleased with the construction. My guy at the body shop had a little trouble fitting it, it needed to be shaved in a couple spots and have a couple trim tabs cut off to allow a flush fitment. In the end it ended up fitting almost perfectly, all the panel gaps line up great with just a very small difference in the height between the panels on one side but it is almost not noticeable. In the end I am happy with the purchase and would buy again unless you can find a OEM gt3 bumper that is, I was able to find a OEM one for the rear.

Thank you! I have already done coilovers, wheels, short shifter, and pedals. I also did a side muffler delete but need to have a new exhaust fabricated to come out the center exhaust, I’m still deciding how to go about that right now so currently there are no exhaust tips coming out the back. I plan on doing a rear wing or the rear ducktail, rear diffuser, cold air intake, gt3 master cylinder and steel brake lines, then some interior updates with bucket seats, rear seat delete and maybe a backup camera install. Here is the only pic I have of the rear currently.

Hope this isn’t taken the wrong way (OPs car looks great) but just a Cheap fiberglass part that would require a lot of work to look just ok. And heavy compared to the factory bumper. I bought parts like that in high school for my VWs, long time ago.
Plus I just don’t think it will last, the front bumper on a GT3 height 997 takes a lot of abuse. No way the fiberglass mounting points will last.
