Default Coilover options

Hi all,
Looking for help and guidance on coilovers for .2 C2. In am currently on Eibach springs and not 100% satisfied with stance.
Items to note:
I don't track and don't plan to
Hard pleasure driving and not a daily

Three options I was thinking about:
1) BC Racing - read mediocre reviews
2) H&R coilover - zero reviews. Hoping someone has insights
3) Ohlins - technically outside of how much I want to spend.

Let me know your thoughts.

I've been running Feal 441+ (swift springs), few guys in 996 forum have also run them. Decent coilover for the money

Feal Coilovers, 05-12 Porsche 997 (2WD) - Feal Suspension (fealsuspensionstore.com)

Other options are :
  1. Fortune Auto (had these on few cars outside of P - great coilover but they did not offer C4/C4S fitment)
  2. ISC Coilovers (inverted) worth a try...ISC Suspension 06-12 Porsche 911 (997) Triple S Inverted Coilovers w/ – Everything Truck Parts

Thanks - I'll check them out and their reviews. So far BC racing seems to be popular choice

Was confused by the BC Racing comment about mediocre reviews, I’ve seen people pretty pleased with them for a street/canyon type setup.

Was researching on Rennlist and 6speed. Some that love them and some reviews not so good. Hard to tell who is posting out of experience vs. Unproven opinion.
I haven't seen any reviews for HR coilover... perhaps no one has bought them.

Thanks for your input... how long have had them and did you select the swift spring setup?

I used Bilstein first, decent damper for the money. I then switched to JRZ lol. The Bilsteins are good quality no complaints with them.

How do the JRZ compare to Bilsteins?

These rubber spring spacers are OEM Porsche items, specifically for adjusting ride height/corner weighting.
Probably buy a range of thicknesses to allow you to do a test fitting at home.
If you cut them with a knife, you can fit them without removing the shock from the car. Put car on jack, remove wheel and pull down on the spring using a ratchet strap, slip them in between the spring and the item above.
Try them out for adjustment outcomes, then when satisfied, fit the final combination you have arrived at, glue the ends together with superglue.
At about $9 each, it's a heap cheaper than any coilover known to man and DIY to boot.

Not my picture.

We sell a lot of BC coils and Bilsteins. BC is best bang for buck. Usually always in stock too.

Never had bad feedback on the BCs.

I ran Bilstein Damptronic on my 997.1 and I loved them. I know they’re not on your list but I think they should be considered 😉

Thanks for your input. Bilstein PSS have great reviews but wasn't sure if they were street or track. I won't be tracking my car... mainly weekend warrior.

Bilstein is always a great and upgraded choice. Have B16 damptronics on my C2S, have Bilsteins in one of my 928s and also on my GMC pickup. Whenever I need to replace original suspension, Bilstein is what I buy. On the 997, they're fantastic, espeically when paired with TPC's DSC module, but I see your car isn't an S so you likely don't have PASM. I'd still buy adjustable Bilsteins.

Thanks... that makes two recommendation on Bilstien... I'll look into them more. Do you guys have the PSS9 or PSS10 those are the options I see.

I have the B16s because I have PASM so can't advise you on the non-electronic ones.

I had B16 Damptronic on my S and I didn't track my car either, mainly weekend canyon drives and diaper runs lol I recently had KW V3 on my 981 Cayman S and those were awesome as well!
