I won't recommend changing all the AOS hoses since they are both expensive and a few of them cannot be done very easily with the engine in or without removing big pieces like the intake manifolds. Needless to say, whichever tube is broken, do replace that one,

Hello 997 community, my 2006 997.1 C2S 6 speed just threw the alternator/battery warning light. The battery was old so I replaced it and as expected it didn’t solve the problem. I only measure 12.7 volts at the battery with engine running so I assume the alternator is bad as indicated. Is this in line with your alternator failures? I don’t believe my starter/alternator cable has been replaced so I’ll plan to do that “while I am in there”. Crank has been a little slow but never in danger of not starting and not different hot vs. cold. I hoping this experienced community can confirm for me I need the alternator and not just the cable.
Thanks in advance!

Aos, my opinion
remove the intake
do it all (AOS) do it once
take your time reassembling to ensure everything is properly torqued.
do pay close attention to the rubber boots on the plenum. There is only one way they are right, lodged into a slight groove, otherwise you will have a vacuum leak.
