Default Interchangeability of 997.2 OEM Centerlock Wheels

Hello everyone
Just wondering if the OEM Porsche Centerlock wheels are interchangeable.
In other words can GT2/3 Centerlocks be used on Turbo and GTS cars with RS Spyder Centerlock Wheels?
Thank you

Yes. I have RS wheels going onto my GTS. GT2 and 3RS will fit wide bodied Turbos and GTS.

You have to look at the offsets. For example, GT3RS wheels will work on the rear of a GTS, but you need GT3 wheels for the front.

The GT3 wheels are heavier than the stock RS Spyder that GTS comes with. Visual upgrade sure, performance downgrade.

The RS fronts fit fine in that they don’t rub, but they do stick out a bit further than they should. It doesn’t bother me.

This is the setup I have (GT3RS rear/GT3 front) which optimizes the offsets on the GTS.

Despite the front being 1/4 inch proud, the 9” diameter rim accepts a 245/35/19 tire size that is specc’ed on a GT2RS. It is an OEM-size match with the 12” 325/30/19 rubber on the GT2.
Not sure, but since the OEM GTS wheels are 8.5/11 with 235/35 and 305/30, I assume that increasing the rear to 12 and 325 might be a mismatch of contact patches with a front 235 vice 245.
Regardless, I definitely feel the difference on my RWD LSD GTS- for the better.
The slightly proud fronts are not noticeable, at all.
As always, YMMV.

I just had these RS wheels installed on my GTS. The 1/4” extra in the front looks fine to me from all angles. When I get my camber to -2.3, the wheels will look more tucked in.

I am running 245 front on GT3 wheels and 325 rear on GT3RS wheels with no ill effects. They ride and handle beautifully.

Looks great! Whether you go with GT3 or GT3RS in the front, they are a big improvement in offset over the stock wheels, IMHO. However, only the RS wheels work on the rear.

It’s interesting that the same tire size also fits both wheel widths. I guess the 9” stretches the tire out more while the 8.5” keeps the sidewalls more square. Glad they handle well for your setup. It must be even harder to find a mixed set of wheels. I feel lucky to have sourced mine when I was looking for a set as 997.2 RS parts are hard to come by.
