Default 991 steeringwheel in 997.1

Hi!

I dont like the crest steeringwheel in my 997.1 so I bought a 991 wheel to fit instead.
Have read a lot of forum threads on internet about how to do it but got problems when I tried to change the steering column unit.

My car is a 997.1 2007 automatic

i bought the steeringwheel and a new module 997.613.289.01.

my problem is how to conect the yellow cable conector. On the new module there is nothing to conect to?

What Im I doing wrong?

OP,
That connector that you need is on the steering angle module. It goes hand in hand with the new module. Theres several posts on here with pics of the two joining together.

I just ran into the same issue! The yellow cable actually plugs in to one of the ports on the clock spring (see pictures attached). It'll become obvious once you connect the clock spring back to the stalk.

Front of the clockspring, facing you when you sit in the car.

Back of the clockspring, the yellow cable plugs in to one of the 4-pin ports.
