I wonder if anyone has been able to install with success the DURAMETRIC software on laptop equipped with Windows 11? I noticed that they have not updated their software since 2015.... apparently.
It used to work fine with XP and Windows 7 but since Windows 10 and 11, I have not been able to install and use DURAMETRIC correctly. I have the enthusiast cable version.
With WIN XP, just great. Easy installation and USB drivers working fine.
With WIN 7, still working well.
With WIN 10, the installation was okay but the connection with the car could not complete.
With WIN 11, the installation does not even take place.
Any suggestions, besides buying an old laptop running with WIN XP?
Thanks
Yves

Durametric has released some minor version updates (mine wanted to update a few months ago). Take a look at the download page:

Not at all sure if this is your challenge, but in my situation with 11 Home edition I had to switch out of S Mode. This enabled the Durametric software to load. Could not load without.

I am trying to install on a brand new laptop running WIN 11 PRO. When launching the installation, it send me to the WINDOWS APP STORE, looking for some kind of application that it does not find (possibly .NET if I remember the previous windows release installation).
That's it. I cannot go any further.

I just bought the "Enthusiast" cable and it arrived yesterday. The intended laptop for use is Win 11 so I'll see how the installation goes tonight (or within the next few days.) I'll report back with hopefully favorable results soon.

Some comments:
On the durametric.com website, there is a PDF quick install guide. I read everything I could before proceeding, but there are slight differences in the PDF vs. what is directly on the website. I've found the PDF to be accurate, so I recommend to just follow that if it conflicts with other info.
With Win 11 Pro, you may have the "S mode" issue. That is a security mode that seems to lock out a lot of things to protect the user + computer; the sort of thing I'd like to set up on my Dad's computer to protect him from himself. You would need to disable that, but apparently it is a one-time, one-way, no going back decision. Not sure if you are in S mode, but it is possible on Win 11 Pro, but not an issue on Win 11 Home. I think this S-mode protection might also be called "Core Isolation" in Win 10.
Durametric says you need to have .NET 3.5 installed (it also says .NET 3.5.1, but it appears the 3.5 [with service pack 1 maybe ???] is what I have and is sufficient). I can turn that on and off easily by going to Control Panel | Programs and Features | Turn Windows features on and off - that shows me that .NET 3.5 is available.
I did the steps to install the Durametric 6.6.3.5 (newest as of 6/8/23; also my Dell Win 11 laptop is 7 months old and fully updated) software before ever plugging it in. The eBay seller (Enthusiast version with 2 VINs left) told me he bought it in 2018, so I did not worry about installing the USB cable drivers - instructions say they are needed if the Durametric was bought from April 2008 through April 2015.

It seems like you've already tried several troubleshooting steps without success. Have you reached out to the CGC community or support team for assistance? They might have insights or solutions to help resolve the issue.

On another note, if you're looking for a Windows 11 key, you can check out windows 11 pro retail key. They offer Windows 11 Pro 32/64-bit keys that might be suitable for your needs.

I got it to work, after many Windows upgrades and the installation of .NET. Thanks to all who provided some help.
