Default Broken air filter cover pins (turbo)

Hi there,

did anyone come across broken pins on the air filter cover on a turbo so far?
Changed the air filter today and realized that the former owner broke one of those pins of on the top and both on the bottom

Not sure if that can be repaired somehow or needs a new cover alltogether...

Pics attached

Did you ever get a resolution on this? Just changed out the air filter on my ‘new to me’ turbo and discovered the same thing, only one tab intact.

Quick search for an OEM cover is $3k+, so hoping there’s a more economical solution.

I assume this is a 997.2 ? Never knew they had a carbon airbox cover. I thought that was only on the GT2s.

Awesome - did you go the standard Turbo route (non-carbon fiber)? When I pulled the part number from the TTS cover (997.110.124.31) I didn’t see anything of reasonable cost. Originally checked it due to the foam eroding but then noticed the tab was broken too.

Always ordering my stuff at Gaudin in Vegas:

should be the right one and specifically for turbo and turbo S, so I assume carbon it is 🤞

Oh nice - please keep us posted! That sure beats the idea swirling in my head about using some epoxy and a dremel to fabricate a new tab.

@PNW997 unfortunately the air cover that arrived was just the regular plastic version from the turbo model. Sent it back and now still trying to find a good solution.

Looks like an adventure with epoxy , should grab the carbon well . Need to overlap the sides of the pin .
