Default Oil Seepage

Hi guys,

I’m told there are signs of minor seepage of oil in the bell housing area of the transmission and rear section of the engine. Pics attached.

No oil actually leaks on the ground, and it's a manual transmission. Any idea what this could be? Thank you!

That is a typical Rear Main Seal leak. Seepage like that very common and have rear main seal replaced when replacing clutch.
Is your 997 a manual transmission?
A Rear Main Seal is $30 and cost to drop transmission and reinstall is about $1200 - Only takes 5 minutes to replace the seal.
