Default Help selecting Hawk low dust pads for 997.2 C2

As stated, I'm looking to purchase a full set of Hawk low dust brake pads for my 2009 C2 (not "S").

After some searches I've found conflicting part numbers, specially for the front pads, and thus I seek advice from those who have purchased these for a base 997.2 C2.

Any help, advice, caveats, vendors, etc. would be greatly appreciated.

N.B. - I'm looking for a low dust solution and mentioned Hawk because some here swear by them but I'm open to any other brands that offer low dust.

I just got them for my 2010 C2S and I’m very happy, although I had the same problem as you and initially got the wrong ones. Buy them from a reputable shop and be prepared to exchange them. Talk to them before ordering because then the error is theirs if they need to be exchanged.

Can't help with the part number but the Hawk Ceramics in the yellow box with the Z in the part number are the ones you want.

I installed Porterfield R4-S and am VERY happy. Great bite, very strong and confidence inspiring, and they have about a quarter of the dust of regular pads, if that. No noise either. I would def buy them again. They are some kind of carbon/kevlar compound.

You have (2) choices in regards to pad sizing for that pad: (I would measure your current pad and that will tell you which pad to order)

HB719Z.668

OR

HB667Z.622

Thanks for your reply although I see that the first option that you show is for a Cayman??

I would think that someone here has already bought these for a 997.2 C2 (not "S") and can spare me the having to physically remove a current pad to check the dimensions. Might sound like a trivial step but in reality it basically amounts to half a brake job that will have to be repeated once the correct ones are purchased. Yeah, I know I'm lazy in that sense.

These are the numbers I used for the last brake job on my wife's car, but it's a 997.1 C2S so may be quite different. Maybe it saves someone else some time if they find this thread.

Rotors are dba (disc brakes Australia) slotted. Fronts are just the rotor rings as I already had the hats from the previous 2-piece rotor installation. Rears are the complete 1-piece rotors.

They cross over.... the same calipers are used for the 911/Boxster & Cayman dependent on model. Just measure a pad.

I'm looking for low dust brake pads for my 2007 997.1 C4S.

Hawk and Porterfield show the same dimensions for the Front pads - 140x89x16 So I'm pretty confident these are the correct pads for my car.

But they don't agree on the Rear pads which leaves me wondering which is correct.
Hawk - HB664Z.634 121x86x16
Porterfield - AP1135 114x73x14.7

Both the Hawk website and the Porterfield website show these part numbers as being the correct brake pads for the rear of my car.

Can anyone advise which is correct?

Thanks.

If the C4S uses the same Big Red rear brakes as the C2S the Hawk # is correct from the photo a few posts down as to what's installed on my car.

I purchased Hawk Performance ceramic pads and have not had any issues with them. Low dust, no squealing, and good braking performance
