On track, our 997's weak link is the tires, right?
Brakes and engine are up to the task- my car has spent literally hours bumping off the rev limiter with zero complaint, nor high oil/H2O temps.
I am not on track, so my late braking is not replicated repeatedly and have never felt any fade. I do, of course, back off to cool them and let tire pressures come down (or at least not keep increasing past max 37/44).
Not chasing times, but rather smiles- so it works for me to DILISI whenever the opportunithy arises.

You are fortunate to have so many up there- and cool coastal/mountain/canyon roads to boot.
