sourcing a right tail light

Anyone try the "assembly" and not the whole light? I didn't know this was an option.
I found this on two Porsche dealer's web sites. This from Gaudin for $650.

It appears that you can buy just the infrastructure and assemble the thing. I suspect you would add a tiny bit of sealant around the lens. BTW, the description denotes 2010-13 but when I used their site to check for fitment, it said it did fit my 2009... which it should.

FYI I have solid red replacements on order with Suncoast for my .1 that were suppose to be in November 4th after I ordered them in September. Well, they didn't come in and their answer was that the wiring for the lights was being built in Ukraine and Porsche is looking for an alternative supplier. I asked to just get the lens assembly as my low mileage car doesn't need new wiring and they didn't respond. So if the .2 lights are in the same boat it may be a while? Now it seems the free market is at work...... Good luck!
