At that time I had a K&N, but later swapped it out for this same one. They sound identical! From 5-7K it's a real screamer!

I loved my K&N 57-7000. Makes a great sound and I felt the performance and throttle response increase. Can't believe they are selling for $600 now! I found a used EVOMS and it was selling for a killer deal so I figured I would try it out. Few things I like better about it in general. It is a little cleaner design, not so open to the engine compartment, and has a 82mm intake pipe that is much shorter travel to my GT3 82 mm throttle body. Only about 8 inches of intake pipe travel versus more like 24 inches with lots of bends on the K&N. Also the K&N intake piping was a bit restricted in diameter. More like 74 mm in general. I did not really notice any performance difference between the two. Sound and intake characteristics are virtually identical. I just like the design of the evoms over all better.
