Thats interesting info, thanks. Did you notice any updates from the previous version to 1.47? What were you on previously?

There were some updates, yes, but I can't recall what they were -- I was on 1.41. I ultimately used the graphic equalizer in the NM automotive unit to boost input across the range. Not perfect but better. Overall not a deal breaker but I wish I could get full volume from the aftermarket unit.

This is the other thread but renntech doesn't seem to be loading right now for me:

Edit - this is the correct thread:

Update...

A fellow Renlister sent me and ISO of the update disk and I burned a DVD from it... my PCM would not read it... just hung. So he sent me the original disk. I updated no problem to the highest and last 3.0 version. My bugs apparently are gone... and I think the systems runs a tad faster. I won't post his name so he won't be bugged, but the update from a Porsche disk worked for me with my SSD.

Peace

Huh, interesting: you were able to upgrade to the 2.x software? Which exact version, and does the nav still work?

I was under the impression that to get 2.x working on the earlier systems, you needed to update the maps and that required dealer coding.

I did not update to 2.x. The disc was smart, and only allowed me to upgrade to 1.47. I am pretty sure I didn't have an option... there is hardware differences in 3.0 PCM models with later units having some update. See that PDF posted earlier for more details.

Ah, got it, that makes sense. Yeah, I uploaded that doc.

I'm actually reasonably sure even the Version 1 hardware can be upgraded to the 2.X software. But you have to also update the maps at the same time, or the nav stops working. And the map update requires coding.

See the note at the bottom of page 8.

Hey Bruce did you get aux volume with the update or did you see the same thing as the other person who posted previously?

Thanks!

What is the aux volume? I can go look at my screens, but I don't know what that is. I don't use the Aux input.

I upgraded my original "V" software to 1.47 and did not get an option to change the aux volume, no.
