Default Tire fitment for Carrera SII Wheels

If I remember correctly (as it has been a while).... the Carrera SII Wheels for the 997 are 19x8 and 19x11.

My current tire wheel setup is 19x8.5 and 19x11 running 245/305.

I'm looking to swap my wheels back to stock and I don't remember if 245 tires fit on the 19x8.

You can go to the website of the manufacturer of your tires, and see what rim width they say is acceptable for the specific tire model you have. There's a chance it's okay on 8" rims.

But generally speaking, 245 width tires aren't rated for 8" wide rims.

On the flip side, many people run wider tires than are rated for a given rim width and haven't had any issues, but it's not something I'd be personally comfortable with (IMO).

Karl.

Talked to a tire shop. Looks like 8" is the min for the 245s. Looks like I'm good to go!

@soze: same stock wheel CSII setup 19x8 & 19x11 on my ‘09 C2S. I got 245/305 MPS4S coming from a friend’s 997TT and it fits with no issues whatsoever. Been running this for past 2yrs. Indeed the min width for 245 is 8-in.

I’d always thought 8.5” was the minimum for 245 width tires.

Good to know they’re an option on 8.0” rims.

Thanks.

245 will technically fit but you may notice the sidewall rolling over more.

Worst case is it feels less than ideal and you live with it until it’s time to replace or you replace the fronts with 235.

Tires are still in excellent condition hence swapping tires over, but the Forgestar CF-10s will be for sale soon. I've barely driven this car since I got it, so not much mileage on them.
