Default 997 Recaro Sportster CS Fitment w/ *****?

Hello all,

For those of you that have a Recaro Sportster CS in your 997, do Recaro adjustment ***** that come with the seat fit perfectly in the 997? I know that for the 996 guys, it doesn't fit and you need the Cantrell Motorsports Slimline ****. I saw images of a few 997s with Recaro Sportsters rocking the original Recaro adjustment ***** but wanted to confirm that they're actually usable and able to adjust without any rubbing/fitting issues. Am about to order some base mounts for the Recaro rails so I just wanted to know if I should add the slimline ***** to my order as well.

Thanks in advance.

Fit perfectly, NO.

They do fit and are usable but rub hard on the outside B pillar. You can get some micro adjustments out of each turn.

With that said, once I got the seat where I wanted it, I haven't touched it. Not sure of your use case but I have not need to adjust the seats.

I have not used but heard the Cantrell **** does help.

Thank you so much, I'll order a set of the ***** then!

They are the only option to get sportsters to fit right in a 997.

Need to cut about 3mm off the axel with a hand saw and it’s perfection.

In their website they mention that you need a set per seat is that correct? Should should I order two sets?I just wanted to double check since they are $40 each before tax and shipping.

so with one set (2) I can take care of both front seats (one on each) right?

Btw I know I sound retarded but they say you need a set per seat - which is weird since each seat has just one ****…

Some sportsters have a **** on both sides so that would require two. But the cs only have a know on outside, so one set will give you one **** per seat.

You only need one set of the Cantrel *****.

They fit, but not perfect and it takes some fiddling.

So according to this thread, some of you say that they fit snugly but they do fit, others that without the cantrel ***** they won't fit and then there's @ShaunP who says that it takes some fiddling to fit them but doesn't specify if it's with the stock ***** or the Cantrel ones.

For those of you who have Recaro Sportster CS in your car, what do I need to buy to fit them properly, low and able to adjust them?

OP, based on comments in this thread and others, Recaro CS seats will fit but you will need one set of Cantrell ***** and cut about 3mm off the adjustment rod. Good luck with the install. Since Porsche folding carbon buckets have essentially become unobtainium, these are the best solution for upgrading your seats, IMO. They look and feel amazing for a relatively good price.
